The results and prize-winners for the Kearney Cycles Streets of Galway 8K road-race for 2015 have been declared official and are attached below. The decision of the race organising committee is final in all matters and no further correspondence can or will be entered into at this point.

Two PDF files of the final results have been generated, the first one sorted by finish (gross) time (and from which official results and prize-winners are calculated) and a second one sorted by chip (nett) time for information purposes only. A final list of individual category and team prize-winners is presented in the third attachment. Note - an adjustment has been applied to both F40 and F45 prize-categories to ensure that the correct finishers are credited with the appropriate prize in each case.

On behalf of race-director Brian Bruton and all his extremely hard-working committee, as well as race sponsor Kearney Cycles and host athletics club Galway City Harriers AC, our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to the event this year and who helped make this another great "streets" race to remember.

We would like to acknowledge the input of John Cunniffe@RedTagTiming (official timing system supplier to SOG 2015) in providing visual finish-line confirmation of all prize-winners.

Our congratulations once again go to race-winners Gary THORNTON (Galway City Harriers AC) and Maria McCAMBRIDGE (Dundrum South Dublin) as well as all the category and team prize-winners. A massive well done to all 2410 finishers who took to the streets on a very damp August evening in Galway city - we hope you achieved your individual running targets on the night.

Go n-eirí go geal libh go léir maidir le cúrsaí aclaíochta, agus feicimid go léir sibh i gCathair na dTreabh i 2016 le cúnamh Dé!

As a very final note, you may be interested in reading an update to the official race FAQ located here in respect of some queries we have had this year in relation to finishing times.

Yours in running,
