[acidfree:11207 title=" " size=750 align=center] Clare River Harriers never fail to put on a great race and 2015 didn’t disappoint with a well organised and exciting race at yesterday evenings Claregalway 10k. Flat for the most of this course this always brings home PB’s and is a target race for most athletes at the end of the Summer racing or for those targeting the Dublin City Marathon. Despite a very wet evening, the race was yet again a great success!! Galway City Harriers were well represented in the field yesterday evening with podiums from Matt Bidwell coming home to take another win there in 32.42. Regina Casey took the Female top spot in an astounding 37.04 and was 12th overall!!! A fantastic run by both these guys, following their success at the Streets of Galway just two weeks ago!! There were lots of more PB’s to report, David O'Neill ran a new 10k pb of 38.44. Clare Rowe who is having a fabulous year came home third in 41.54. Michelle Browne who took almost 1m 30 sec off her PB came in at 43.30 and was rewarded 4th place. Tim Jone who ran his second ever race ran a whooping 36.42. Marie Gallagher went under 45 mins and claimed 5th place prize in 44.48, Bridget Jacobsen had the run of her running life so far with a 5 minute PB coming home in 46.23. Martin Kearny again claimed the O60 first place in 38.49 followed by Martin McEvilly in second in 40.40 with Adrienne Walsh was the FO60 winner in 55.43. Great stuff!!! The GCH boys also claimed the team prize this evening, making it a great night out for all involved. Martin Kearney and Galway City Harriers were also thanked by Clare River Harriers for their sponsorship of the water last night which just goes to show that Interclub comradery is well received!! Well done to everyone, again if I have omitted a PB for anyone, let me know and I will amend the report!! Written by PRO: Joanne O’Boyle
