GCH athletes excel at the South Connacht Schools Cross Country

GCH athletes scooped many of the top places at the South Connacht Schools Cross Country in the Claddagh during the week.  In the Senior Boys race Eanna Folan led the way home and was followed by Joe Tannian in 2nd and Gary Martyn 3rd.  Ronan Dirrane and Michael Healy also put in fine performances finishing  6th and 7th.   In the Senior Girls race, Aoife King showed great confidence and determination to win the girls title and Aoife Sheehy ran a superb race to finish in third place.

 In the Intermediate race Thomas McStay held off the challenge from Aaron Brennan to take the Gold medal.

In the Junior Boys race Cillian Jordan ran a fine race to take Gold and was followed by Eoghan Jennings in 3rd and Barry Murphy 4th.  Eimear Rowe was 4th in the Junior Girls race with Paula Crissan finishing 6th.
