There were a number of GCH athletes competing at the Craughwell 10 mile and Craughwell 10k last weekend. No County 10 mile Championship results to hand at present, but will post at a later date when they become available. Matt Bidwell of GCH was the overall Craughwell 10 mile winner in a time of 56.22, with Kevin Mooney of Craughwell second and Dermot Gorman of Raheny Shamrocks in third. Martin Kearney was first v60 in 1:05:36. In the womens race, Athenry's Jane Ann Meehan placed first in 1:01:55 with the GCH duo of Grainne Ni Uallachain ( 1:04:07) and Sinead Brody ( 1:04:24) in second and third. New for this year in Craughwell was the added 10k race, with mixed reactions to the course. Regina Casey of GCH was first senior woman in 38.04.

At the Colemanstown 10k (31st March) Matt Bidwell of GCH was first home overall in 33.41, with Brian Furey of Rathfarnham in second place. In the womens race, Regina Casey of GCH had a terrific run, first woman home in a fantastic time of 36.50, from Jane Ann Meehan of Athenry in second place in 38.32.  Regina is focussing on the National 10k on April 15th, and her terrific return to racing over the past few weeks will surely reap rewards.
