The curtain came down on the club challenge with the National Intermediate and Masters cross countey in Dundalk I.T. on Sunday last January 24th.

While GCH had no competitors in the Intermediate race the club was well represented at master's level.  Martin McEvilly competed in the M65 race and took home yet another national medal, silver this time.

Grainne Ní Uallachain, Jean O'Connor and Mags Sheridan all ran strong races while Brian Bruton, Brian O'Connor, Pat Sherry, Seamus Leddy and Gerry Carty togged out for GCH men's team.  Seamus Leddy was dragged out of his sick bed to ensure GCH had a team.

So the winners of the club challenge are confirmed as Mags Sheridan and Martin Kearney.  Mags' strong run in Dundalk saw her clinch the women's title while Martin had the ground work done earlier in the season to confirm his title.
