The National 10k in the Phoenix Park on April 11th was the 3rd event in the GCH Club Challenge 2015. It proved to be a high scoring day in the challenge with 9 participants collecting the 30point medal bonus and two collecting the 10k PB bonus.

In both the mens and women's tables three of the top four slots are taken by our masters runners reflecting very strong national performances by this element of our club.

The top of the women's league is very tight with Siobhan Egan in pole position closely followed by Majella Ní Chríocháin and Margaret Sheridan separated by the smallest margin. The men's league is almost as close with Culan O'Meara leading closely followed by John Devlin and Martin Kearney.

This weekend sees the National Road Relays which is attracting a small GCH contingent. The following event on the Club Challenge will be the Streets of Castlebar 5k as chosen by popular vote. This is an opportunity for as many members as possible to race together. We'll have pacers for members who want to be guided to a target finish time. More details to follow.
