Club Challenge - Event 8 & 11 Results
The club challenge scorekeeper has been slacking off of late but has eventually updated the challenge tables after events 8 and 11.
Event 8 was the Connacht Cross Country held over 3 races. At the end of all that muck GCH brought home lots of silverware.
- Senior Ladies Gold - Niamh Hennelly
- Novice Ladies Gold - Emily Bruton
- Master Ladies Silver - Marie Boyle
- Ladies Club Gold - GCH
- Novice Men Bronze - Patrick Dirrane
- Master Men Silver - Brian O'Connor
Event 11 was also on the country and this time at national level with the National Senior and Novice competitions. Pride of place across these events goes to Keith Fallon for his U23 Bronze medal and selection for the Irish team for the European championships.
Keith's performances have pushed him into third place in the club challenge where Martin Kearney, with his 4 national titles this year, is still odds on to take the club challenge title.
In the ladies challenge there is also a late run on the rails from a new challenger. Siobhan Egan has moved up to seocnd place after her great performances in the provincial and national cross country events. Siobhan is now only 3 points behind leader Majella Ní Chríocháin, with Mags Sheridan only a further 3 points back.
Next up is the Fields of Athenry on St. Stephen's day. There are also 10km PB bonus points on offer. Be sure to let me know if you run a blinder on the 26th. (email@example.com)
