Our Fit 4 Life Adult training programme
We had a great workshop with Liz Egan yesterday evening. Liz led us through some practical exercises with key life skills of goal setting, prioritising and planning. It was superb to have a mix of our youth, senior and masters members learning together.
These were a great complement to the workshop by Karen Weekes in February on applying the mind to maximum effect. The planning templates and advice sheets are available here for all.
A great talk last night from Dr Karen Weekes - lots of practical advice on how to deal with the boredom, fatigue and pain of training and tips on motivation. Plenty of food for thought for us - I'm sure everyone came away with something they can apply to their training and racing.
A follow-on session around goal-setting is being planned for GCH members in late March/early April. Watch this space.
GCH Senior Club Gear is in stock and available from Club Member Martin Kearney in his shop, Kearney Cycles in Terryland Retail Park on the Headford Road. Opening Hours Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

The Galway 5km Series sponsored by Bradley Renault is nearly upon us and with many GCH members signed up to particiapate it should make for a great start to the running summer.
Like all good things the series doesn't just happen and there are a few things we'd like some help with before the series kicks off.
We all like to train and we have all put in a hard Winter's training this year, so what bette way to congratulateourselves than with some laughs with fellow running buddies.
A night out is planed in the Oslo in Salthill on Saturday April 2nd at 8.30pm.
Finger Food will be served and the 2015 Club Challenge prizes will be presented.
