Galway County 10 mile Championship official results
Attached are the official results for the Galway County 10mile Champioship held in conjunction with the recent Craughwell 10 miler. County medals for GCH athletes in the following categories: Senior Men: 1st Matt Bidwell. Senior Women: 2nd Grainne Ni Uallachain, 3rd Sinead Brody. V35 Women: 3rd Emily Bruton. V35 Men: 2nd Paul Keane. V50 Men: 1st Martin Kearney, 2nd Michael O'Sullivan.
Teams: GCH Mens Team 1st ( Matt Bidwell, Paul Keane, Louis Coyne, Conor Dolan). GCH Womens Team 2nd ( Grainne Ni Uallachain, Sinead Brody, Emily Bruton, Abigail Colleran)
AAI National 10k Entry Closing soon
Any registered club member wishing to run in the AAI National 10k Championships is advised that entry closes this Tuesday 3rd April, at 5pm. It is up to each individual to enter themselves if they wish to run in the Championships. LINK below for entry.
Important Information / Notice for National Masters & Intermediate Cross Country
Please Note: There are 2 GAA matches in Pearse Stadium this Sunday 11th February- one at 12pm and one at 2pm, so anyone heading to Clarinbridge to the Cross Country from that direction, please leave Galway City early to get out to Clarinbridge ! Galway Athletics are looking for more marshals / helpers for the Cross Country this Sunday, 11th February in Clarinbridge. Quite a lot of volunteer work has gone in up to this point to ensure the event happens here in Galway and is successful.

Galway City Harriers Fit for Life group is 10 years old this month! The incredible Bernie Kelly has trained thousands of Galway runners over the last decade! Celebrations are ongoing , and all at GCH and all those who have ran and jogged their way to fitness and health are hugely thankful to Bernie and all her team leaders for the tremendous work over the last decade.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: CONNAUGHT CROSS COUNTRY CANCELLATION Saturday 21st October
The Connaught Senior League Cross Country and Connaught Primary Schools Cross Country competitions, scheduled for tomorrw - Saturday 21st October in Roscommon - are now cancelled due to the imminent storm.
This event will be rescheduled.
2017 National Marathon Championships Team Declarations

CROSS COUNTRY SEASON. Fixtures
Its Cross Country season again and time to 'dig out' the spikes. There is quite a 'congested' fixture list from this weekend up to December, between cross country events and also some permitted local road races. This weekend will see the Castlegar Open cross country races and the Loughrea AC 10k road race.
The County Cross Country Championships take place in Tuam on Sunday 1st October.
GCH SUMMER SOCIAL, 26th August.
Our annual summer social takes place at Crowe's Bar Bohermore next Saturday, 26th August from 8.00pm We hope to see as many as possible in attendance and finger food will be served. Great way to fuel up after the Claregalway 10K !
