The Galway City Harriers AGM will take place on Wednesday, 30th January 2019 in the Menlo Park Hotel, at 8pm.
As members, any thoughts/ideas you may have will contribute towards the development of our club. We would greatly appreciate your attendance this year.

The National Intermediate and Masters Cross Country Championships takes place on Sunday 3rd February. Dundalk IT is the venue for this year's Championships ( link to race schedule below). The club are looking to put teams together in the various races. The Master individual categories begin at over 35 through to over 75s.
Any interested club athletes contact the secretary ( details below ) by Friday 27th January.
Master Team categories are : o35, o50 and o65. Club athletes will also be considered for the Galway County Teams.

Our next Beginners group will start on Monday 4th February at 7pm.
New and returning members are welcome.
So whether you are new to running or getting back into it after a break you will find like minded people who will support you.

Attached is a fixture list with a mix of Cross Country/Indoor Track & Field and some local Road Races. Please Note the following upcoming fixtures:
The Ballinderreen 10k this Sunday 18th November at 12.30pm, organised by South Galway Athletic Club, will incorporate the Galway County 10k Road Race Championships.
Two upcoming National Cross Country events - entry information:
1) Sunday 25th November: National Senior and Junior Cross Country Championships (Abbottstown). Entry to club secretary by Wednesday night 14th November.
The next Fit4Life Beginners Group will start on Thursday 20th September.
This suitable for absolute beginners and will be walking/running initially.
Plently of regular walks between now and then will help get you fit enough to start.
The group meets at 7pm at the Westside Library.
Please do not park in the Church Grounds, there is plenty of parking in the Shopping Centre Car Park.
Day 2 of the Galway County adult Track & Field Championships takes place later this evening (Thur.31st May). Do arrive in plenty of time. Order of events as follows:
7:15pm - 400m H
7:30pm - 3000m
7:45pm - 5000m
8:15pm - 200m
8:30pm - 800m
8:45pm - Relays
7:15pm - Discus
7:45pm - HJ
8:15pm - Triple Jump
8:30pm - WFD
Day 2 of the Galway County adult ( Senior, Junior & Master ) Track & Field takes place this Thursday 31st May, in Dangan at 7pm. There is still time enter - please contact the club secretary. Points towards the County League available in all events so why not try something different !

Following is the order of events for the Galway County Adult (Sen.Master, Jun) Track & Field Day 1,which will be held this Thursday evening, 24th May. Numbers can be collected at the shed.
