The Conamara 10k promises to be one of the most scenic road races in Ireland, starting in Carna village, crossing the islands of Roisín an Chaladh and Muighnis, before reaching the turnaround point at Muighnis graveyard and heading back to Carna.
As well as being a stunningly beautiful route, the coastal run is flat and ideal for PBs. The race, organised by the Conamara club, TríSpórt, will be chip-timed and refreshments will be provided afterwards in Carna Bay Hotel.
The Conamara 10k will be open to runners, joggers and walkers. There will also be a number of fun runs for children.

It was a glorious evening in Ballybrit this evening which hosted the GCH leg of the Galway 5k Series and fifth race in this years league. It was also a special race tonight in that it was the 50th race in the Galway 5k series overall.
The course was changed this year to accommodate more PB’s, set on a two lap circuit around the racecourse and its perimeter road. So this week the crowds came in their hundreds once again!!
577 participants took part and once again Galway City Harriers were well represented in the top spots!!!
Galway City Harriers are delighted to host the fifth leg of the Galway 5k series tomorrow night at 8pm at Galway Racecourse, Ballybrit, Galway.
This year we have a new improved fast course, which is on a two lap circuit around the racecourse and its perimeter road.
