The Connaught Senior and Master Track & Field Championships (along with the u14-u19s) will take place on Saturday 15th June, at Sligo IT.
Under ages sign up at Juvenile training asap.
Closing date for GCH Senior and Master entries is this Saturday 8th June. Entries to Secretary please. No late entries will be accepted once system has closed.

Day 3 of the Galway Senior/Master/Junior Championships takes place tomorrow evening, Thursday 6th June. Hammer event starts at 6.15pm with track events from 7pm in Dangan. Track events include 10,000m County Championship races, plus open mile and sprint races. Timetable below.
Enter is via club secretaries or on the night from 6.15pm.

Galway 5k Series. The final leg of the 5k series, hosted by GCH was held in Clarinbridge yesterday evening in damp conditions. Big thank you to all our volunteers/marshalls/caterers and thank you to the photographer and red tag timing over the series. Thank you to the GCH Director on the night and to the overall 5k Committee and directors and all the clubs involved in the series, Thank you to Patricia Monaghan for the lovely cakes and buns. Well done to all of the GCH athletes who competed in the overall series.
The Galway B Championships and Galway Combined Events Championships has been postponed tomorrow (Sunday 26th) due to inability to secure medical cover for the event.There are several events happening in Galway tomorrow . A new date will be announced soon.
Below is the timetable for the Galway Senior, Masters and Junior Track and Field Championships, Thursday May 23rd in Dangan at 7pm. Please arrive in plenty of time to check in and collect numbers. Note that events may very well run ahead of schedule, so ensure you are trackside well in advance of any event and listen out for any announcements/updates.
Track order of events will be as follows:
7.10pm 100m hurdles (Ladies)
7.15pm 110m hurdles (Men)
7.35pm Race walks
Order- Ladies races followed by men
Race 4 Galway 5km Series. The fourth race in the series took place this week in Athenry and had close to 700 finishers. First GCH male to finish was Sean Hanley while Regina Casey was first GCH female finisher.
Race 3 5k Series. Race three took place in Loughrea on Tuesday last. First GCH to finish was Michael Kerrin in sixth place (17.31) while first female GCH finisher and first female overall was Jane Ann Meehan (18.45).

Limerick Marathon. GCH had a number of athletes competing over various distances at last weekends’ Limerick series of races: 3 athletes in the marathon, 12 athletes in the half marathon and 5 athletes in the 6 mile race.
The 2019 Galway County Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place over a number of days throughout May and into June.
JUVENILE younger ages Day 1 (u9 to u12) : Sunday 5th May. Start:10am. ( entry closed)
JUVENILE older ages Day 2 (u13 to u19 only): Sunday 12th May. Start:10am (sign up at Juvenile training no later than Friday 3rd !)
Any help would be very much appreciated for either of the above two dates-even for part of the day. This will enable the Championships to go ahead smoothly and efficiently.
