Sports First Aid Course: Coaches Invite

The Galway Sports Partnership are organising a Sports First Aid Course on Saturday 22nd October in Renmore. All active coaches and leaders with GCH Fit4Life, Senior or Juvenile sections are invited to attend the course to learn or refresh their first aid skills. If you are actively leading or coaching with GCH the club will reimburse your participation fee. Please notify Vincent Jordan (chairperson@galwaycityharriers.com) once you’ve registered for the course.

Save the Date GCH Awards Night Friday 18th November

An awards night for all parts of our club will be held in the Westwood Hotel on Friday 18th November 7pm-10pm.

 

This is an opportunity to recognise and thank our athletes, coaches, leaders and volunteering teams for the work they have put in over the past year. It will include awards across our Fit4Life, Senior and older Juveniles sections.

Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting

A unanimous decision was reached by the GCH Management Committee to hold an EGM in the Westwood Hotel, Elizabeth Suite 8:30pm, 10th November 2016. This is an important opportunity for you to participate in some important decisions about how we operate as a club and we encourage all members to attend.

Connaught Cross Country League Day 1 reminder

Day one of the Connaught adult cross country league is this Saturday 15th October. The venue is Sligo Racecourse, start time is 2pm.

Two races : Senior/Novice/Master ladies over 4k and Senior/Novice/Master men over 8k.

Deadline for entries is this Wednesday, 12th October. 

If interested email secretary@galwaycityharriers.com or contact Mags at 087 9234224, stating whether you wish to run as a Senior as a Master.

Important Track Fees Information

The GCH Track Sessions on Tuesday evenings are proving to be very popular with significant numbers attending every week. The Final Term of 2016 has begun and all members are invited to participate.

To take maximum advantage of available daylight sessions will continue with a 6:30pm start time for September.

Important notes: - Meet point for warm-up, drills and the session briefing will be at the Hockey Pitch, not the Athletics track.
