The 2008 Galway Primary Schools Cross Country will take place on Tuesday 30th September starting at 12 noon at the Renmore pitches. This is a great event for getting children involved in athletics and there are 4 races - for 3rd/4th class and 5th/6th class Boys and Girls. Galway has a long and proud tradition in cross-country running from the days of Thomas Hynes in the early 1900s to 2008 when two Galwaymen qualified to compete with the best at the world cross country championships. The Primary Schools entry form, including more details, is attached.
