The vast majority of G.C.H's senior club - both male & female would love to get close to 2 mins 15 secs for 800m! That was Junior athlete Rachel Shaw's time last Saturday at the National Junior Indoors in Nenagh. Rachel was 2nd behind Kilkenny City Harriers athlete Ciara Everard who ran 2.11.75. Exceptional times from these two rising stars of Irish athletics. Rachel, who has just turned 17, was running her first serious race after spending 2008 out of action due to a virus.
