The 2017 Galway Clinic Streets of Galway 8k provisional prize list is attached. Congratulations to all those who won a prize, to all who competed, and especially to all who visited Galway for the race, on what was an amazing and hugely enjoyable evening of running , watched by thousands on the iconic route. The sun shone brightly last Saturday evening in Galway with over 3000 athletes taking part in the 32nd Galway Clinic Streets of Galway which was sold out once again.
What is now a major event in the Summer Calendar in Galway grows each year and offers athletes and fun runners a unique chance through run through the heart of Galway City.
This page will contain the list of runners registered (online and offline) for the 2017 Streets of Galway. If there is a possibility of confusion around surname/firstname we have put "D" as your Race Number. Don't panic - we have your number. It's just there could be three of "Sean Murphy" and we want to be sure to hand out the correct number. On collecting your race pack you can tell us your email address in person and we will hand out the correct Race Number.
The 2017 Galway County AAI 5K Road Race Championships will take place in conjunction with the Caltra and District AC 5KM road race on Saturday 19th August 2017 at 10am
The results of these championships will be based on the race's official result and it's incumbent on all local athletes to be correctly registered, both club and category. Galway AAI will produce the County Championship result and get the winners their medals as soon as possible thereafter.

9am - 4pm on Saturday 12th August 2017 (race-day)
Eight Galway athletes were selected for this years Celtic Games International V teams from Scotland and Wales in Morton Stadium yesterday demonstrating the current growing strength of athletics in Galway . This is attributal to many years of hard work and commitment from these athletes and also to a huge voluntary effort by Club Coaches, the County Board and parents within the various clubs.

Thursday 20th July.Dangan Track @7.45pm: Series of 1 mile time trials. (8, 7,6,5,4 minute) All clubs and athletes welcome.
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd July. National Senior Track & Field championships, Morton Stadium, Santry.
Sunday 30th July. Round 2 National Track & Field League
Well done to everyone who competed in the National Junior & U23 Championships, and in the National Masters Championships, held over the first weekend in July. Great performances from everyone in the heats and finals.The Club had a number of medal receipents:
National Junior & U23 Championships: 100m Junior men - 3rd Cillin Greene, 4x400m Junior men’s relay 2nd GCH (Shane Canavan, Eanna Folan, Aaron Brennan, Thomas McStay).
National Master’s Championships: F70 3k Walk- Maura Loftus 2nd, F45 400m - Majella Loftus 3rd, F35 800m - Kathryn Casserly 3rd.
