Galway City Harriers are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of Sinéad Brody, a valued member of the club. Sinéad was a club member for several years, and a person and athlete of great talent, dedication and determination. She was a vibrant presence at training sessions and races throughout Galway and further afield. Her death leaves a deep void among her many friends in GCH and wider athletic circles.
Many thanks to all who made the 2018 Galway Clinic Streets of Galway 8k a huge success. The biggest ever edition of the famous race was held Saturday 11th August last through the city streets and was made possible by GCH, the Streets committee, hundreds of volunteers, the Galway Clinic and our associate sponsors, as well as Galway City Council, the Gardai and all who helped organise what is one of the citys great summer events, where young and old,and fast and steady runners all take part ! Well done to everyone who was there!
