Well done to the GCH Senior Ladies and Men's teams who competed at the National Road Relays on Sunday last in Raheny, Dublin. This is one of the top events on the calendar which featured many of the country's top clubs and distance runners.
The GCH Ladies were on top form, placing sixth overall, in a highly competitive field, with great runs from Kathryn Casserly, Aisling Joyce and Sinead Foran.
The GCH Senior Men’s team were a respectable 18th overall with great runs from Aaron Brennan, Neill Keane, and John Moroney, backed up by Brian Bruton.

In all, there were 30 new overall club records broken, with each championship providing further records and Championship Best Performances as follows:

National Relay Championships

It’s hard to beat the buzz of the National Relay Championships and this weekend in Athlone was no exception.  With just six lanes indoors,  making the final is a significant achievement.  All our athletes performed above and beyond expectations and the club is hugely proud of everyone who lined out on the day. The Club is very grateful to the subs who travelled up and supported their team mates.

Our athletes  took home a national title and two silvers on the day.
