Due to the huge interest in Sunday's All Ireland Hurling final we are postponing our return to Juvenile training until Sunday 13th September. Looking forward to seeing you all back for the New Season.
Monday 21st Sept is the next start date. Venue is Westside Library and time is 7pm. Anyone who is thinking of starting needs to turn up on that evening to attend a short talk followed by a short taster session. Membership forms will be available on that night and all questions will be answered on how it works. Parking is available in Dunnes Stores Carpark near the Library.
[acidfree:11207 title=" " size=750 align=center] Clare River Harriers never fail to put on a great race and 2015 didn’t disappoint with a well organised and exciting race at yesterday evenings Claregalway 10k. Flat for the most of this course this always brings home PB’s and is a target race for most athletes at the end of the Summer racing or for those targeting the Dublin City Marathon. Despite a very wet evening, the race was yet again a great success!!
The results and prize-winners for the Kearney Cycles Streets of Galway 8K road-race for 2015 have been declared official and are attached below. The decision of the race organising committee is final in all matters and no further correspondence can or will be entered into at this point.
Two of our GCH athletes represented Ireland at the Celtic Games in Scotland this weekend.
Bryan Ndego had a brilliant performance in the High Jump. His impressive leap of 1.90m was the same height as the eventual Scottish winner Cameron McCorgray but on count back Bryan was awarded Silver.
Cillian Greene was in superb form too claiming bronze in both the 200m and the 4X100m relay.

First up our U13 Girls, in a time of 52.63 Sinead Duggan, Sarah Agboola, Emma Moore, Eimear Rowe and Chellene Trill set the tone for the day leaving the opposition in their trail. This same team broke the Irish Indoor Record earlier in the year.
