The National Masters and Intermediate Cross Country Championships, along with Juvenile B/Relays takes place in in Kilcornan Estate, Clarinbridge on Sunday, 11th February. The Galway County Athletics Board has worked hard to secure the event/venue for the West. At the end of 2017, our Club was the biggest Athletics Club in Ireland, and it would be great to reflect this by fielding teams in the Masters and Intermediate races.

We celebrated our Awards Night on Friday 19th January in the Westwood Hotel.  The event was hosted by Club President, Pat O’Dwyer, and over one hundred awards were presented to our  club athletes, coaches and volunteers.  It was a fabulous event and many thanks to all who attended.

Special mention to Brian Bruton, Mags Sheridan, Ger Nally, Una Murphy and Cormac O’Connor who worked hard behind the scenes to make the event happen.
