Day 3 of the Championships took place on Sunday in glorious sunshine in Tullamore.  Emma Moore got the day off to a brilliant start with a Gold medal in the the U14 Girls 200m in a great  new pb of 26.1.  Emma is now reigning National Champion in both the 200m and 800m U14 a remarkable achievement from a very hard working athlete.

Darragh Jennings won the club’s second medal of the day with a great throw of 33.45m in the U14 Boys Discus to claim the Silver medal. Darragh also won a bronze medal in the Shot Putt last week.

GCH athletes were in top form at the Connacht Championships yesterday in Sligo.   There were some terrific performances on the day where multiple Connacht titles were won by the Club’s athletes.  It is heartening to see so many qualifiers for the 2017 National Championships in July.  A big thank you to all the officials who organised the event on the day.
